For complex parts with long length, large width or machining surface with special angle, leave it to universal machining centers of Kiheung Machinery. Only large parts such as wind power, oil, super-large construction machinery and aviation are not the applications of the universal machining center. Universal Head's different angles and RAM's accessibility can realize the machining of different areas that cannot be processed by ordinary machine tools.

From now on, workpieces suitable for Kiheung universal machining centers will be described. Some of them are difficult to be dealt with by ordinary VMCs(vertical machining centers), HMCs(horizontal machining centers) or HBMs(horizontal boring machines).
1. Milling, boring, thread machining of the end of long workpiece
If the part to be machined is very long, there are not many suitable machines to process it. HMCs or HBMs are applicable to most parts close to regular hexadron, while the milling, boring and thread machining on the end of long parts are very difficult. Due to the posture of the milling head, the VMCs cannot actually process the end face. Although PVMCs(portal vertical machining centers) can cope with it, it is not satisfied with the convenience or the accessibility to the workpiece.
The geometry located on a very long workpiece end is most suitable for universal machining centers. By looking at the workpiece in the figure above, you can immediately understand why the universal machining center is the answer.

2. Side milling of flat workpiece
So, as shown in the figure below, how about machining flat gears with very large diameter?
If ordinary HMCs orVMCs are used, a rotary table can be installed under the workpiece to configure the machining system, but there are fatal weaknesses. It is difficult to make the milling spindle close to the machining point. Kiheung UMC can use RAM to easily approach the milling spindle to the machining point. Also, the universal head can be used to adjust the angle of the spindle without reducing the rigidity.

3. Milling, boring and thread machining of welded structural parts
What about the following parts, welded structure, that need to be machined?
The UMCs of Kiheung Machinery do not need a rotary table. It can easily mill, bore or machine thread by changing the posture of the spindle.

4. Machining parts with inclined section geometry
Parts with inclined section geometry are also ideal for Kiheung's UMCs. According to the width of parts, different machines can be selected to deal with it.
